削っていると、ヤスリが目詰まりしますので、300番台が適当かと思います。
厚みも調整しています。弦が乗る上部の形状は、そのままで使っています。
ただし、手が当たるサドル両端は、丸味が出る様に形状を変更しました。
音質は元のサドルと変わらない様に思います。厳密に言うと、弦高が低くなると弦のテンションが下がるので変わるハズなのですが．．．
指弾き中心なので、音質の変化が分かり難いのかも？

ヤマハ FS820 のサドル交換しました。純正はプラスチックでサドル幅が75ｍｍなので1ｍｍ位短いですけど問題ありません。厚みは3ｍｍで削らす入りました。高さが高いので純正のサドルと同じ高さにするために5ｍｍ程削りました。120番の紙やすりで結構大変で時間が掛かりました。プラスチックサドルもいい音がするのですが、このサドルの装着後は音の分離、粒立ちが良く音量も大きくなり重厚感のある音になりました。、サドルの色も肌色でビンテージ感もありブリッジとよくマッチしています。2個1000円とコストパーフォーマンス良く大満足な商品です。
