This description is of a Kindle version of this book. This and-the book has a text of Waite classical in a Tarot. Illustrations was missing that looks in an original. It was quite lucky to find the good hard copy has used. An original hard copy contains the black and white illustration of the each paper in a coverage, which as you can imagine is very useful when that pause some small symbols in some papers. Mina, this Kindle the version of a book is virtually useless. It was the waste of money.

この本は多分私の知る限り１８６０年代から明治にかけての日本を写した写真に関する最上の総合案内書である。著者は自らの学説のみならず、世界の学者の研究を引用し、読者に最新の成果を紹介している。何と５０以上のソースから４００枚以上の写真を集めており、その多くは初めて公開されたものである。写真のみならず文献もまたすばらしい。ふつうの読者も非常に分かり易く楽しく読むことができる。写真に興味ある人だけではなく、幕末と明治初期の歴史、風俗に関心のある人には必須の写真集と言える。
