During his preparation to write his book, John has visited several Shaker communities and museums. In Sabbathday Lake and Canterbury, was lucky to fulfil some surviving members of a Shakers comprising Mildred Barker and Gertrude Soule, so much that spent it now was. Writing in 1971, comprises pictures of Shaker edifices, woodenware and mobiles of five of a Shaker community and ten museums.
Has possessed my copy for several years. I have bought recently it copies to give to two friends for Natal, both experienced woodworkers, those who has indicated the desire to build pieces of furniture. It is economic and entirely in black and white but contains pictures and has has measured drawings of 87 Shaker mobile and woodenware. Besides, has pictures of hundreds of another shaker elements and the wealth of information on some people and his communities.

この書籍は内容検索で図の部分が見れなかったので、表紙の写真と、This splendid book described and illustrates in detail.との説明文から、各部の詳しいサイズなどの情報が得られるかと期待してkindle版を購入しましたが、期待外れでした。小さい画像が多く、数字や、細かい字が読めない図が多く存在します。私が作りたかったMaple Chairの図も小さくて使い物になりませんでした。kindle版は、こういった細かい図をはっきり見ることは無理なのかもしれません。
以前のレビューに追加します。
仕方がないので、ペーパーバック版を再度購入しました。もちろんすべての図の数字も文字もはっきり読めます。
